Cascina La Generala: A Beacon of Excellence in Agliano Terme

Acquired by Bersano in 1995, Cascina La Generala represents a remarkable chapter in the story of Italian winemaking, set within the picturesque landscapes of Agliano Terme. This expansive 53-hectare vineyard stands as a tribute to the area's profound winemaking vocation, yielding some of the most revered Barbera d'Asti and Nizza labels known today.

Positioned at an altitude of 240 meters above sea level and benefiting from a favorable exposure that ranges from south to east, Cascina La Generala enjoys the perfect conditions for vine cultivation. The estate's soils—a rich mix of limestone-clay and marl-sand—provide an ideal foundation for the growth and development of its vine varieties, particularly for the Barbera per Nizza DOCG e Barbera d’Asti DOCG, as well as Sauvignon.

The Nizza DOCG La Generala stands out as the crown jewel among the estate's offerings. This wine captures the essence of its terroir with an unrivaled depth and complexity, showcasing the distinctive characteristics that make Barbera grapes from this region so sought after. It's a wine that speaks to the dedication and expertise behind every bottle produced at Cascina La Generala, offering a taste experience that is both rich and memorable.
