Discover the Depth of Friuli: Pinot Nero Riserva by Antonutti

Antonutti's Pinot Nero Riserva DOC Friuli Grave "Reserve" is a standout representation of Friuli’s terroir, showcasing the unique qualities of 100% Pinot Nero grapes. Grown on pebbly plains with red clay deposits in central Friuli, the vines benefit from the Guyot training system and high-density planting. Meticulous practices like manual cluster thinning and defoliating allow for better aeration and sunlight exposure, resulting in a low yield but exceptional grape quality. This dedication to precision in the vineyard is matched by a careful vinification process: after soft crushing, the wine undergoes a 10-day maceration followed by fermentation in stainless steel, with further aging in French oak barriques for 12 months and bottle aging for an additional year.

The result is a beautifully balanced wine with a ruby-red color and captivating aromas of pomegranate, raspberry, and currant, with hints of licorice and delicate spices. The palate reflects Friuli’s signature style, combining freshness, structure, and elegance. With refined tannins and a lasting aroma of red berries, this wine pairs excellently with truffle dishes, roasted white meats, and even rich fish like fatty fillet. Ideal served between 18-20°C, this Pinot Nero Riserva is a memorable wine, with aging potential exceeding 10 years under optimal conditions.
