Sasso di Sole, located in the UNESCO-listed Val d’Orcia Park in Montalcino, Tuscany, has been an integral part of the Terzuoli family’s history since the 17th century. Managed by Roberto Terzuoli, along with his parents, the winery produces world-class Brunello di Montalcino, Rosso di Montalcino, Orcia Sangiovese, and Brunello Riserva.
What sets Sasso di Sole apart is its commitment to organic farming. All vineyard activities, from pruning to grape selection, are done manually, ensuring the utmost respect for nature and the environment. Roberto’s profound agricultural knowledge, rooted in his upbringing and formal education, helped him expand the family’s operations by dedicating 10 hectares exclusively to wine production. The unique terroir of Montalcino, with its sunny days and cool nights, along with the distinct Pliocene-era soil, creates ideal conditions for cultivating high-quality wines.
The family's journey into winemaking began in the 1970s when Roberto’s parents combined their love for the land and each other to plant the first Sangiovese vines. Over time, Sasso di Sole grew into an acclaimed winery, producing wines that exemplify the rich tradition and biodiversity of Montalcino.
